Pros:
The machine has a variety of sounds and songs pre-programmed. The Graco sweet slumber baby sound machine has the ability to play mp3 songs of your choice. You can plug in your mp3 player to the device and play your favourite songs.

• Volume on white noise goes much higher than most. If it went higher I'd be worried about their ears since it's on for 14 hours.
• Blocks out a wider range of sound - the white noise has a wider frequency range than others. Better for thumps and voices, and much less grating than the homedics one.
• Nightlight (blue) is soothing and diffused - no weird shadows. In a medium room it's dim enough for your kids to sleep. Perfect for changing diapers without waking the newborn.
• Cute selection of midi tunes.
• A/C or battery operated for the road - makes traveling easier.
• Decently sturdy.
•  Nature sounds are not bad. kids do much better with a constant sound.

Possible cons:

• The speaker is not so good for the mp3 function. It sounds like you're listening to plastic music. Volume doesn't go very high for the music at all.
• There is a small blue power light that is always on if the machine is on. Doesn't bug my kids.
